Introduction
The purpose of the position is to support Paycorp’s sanctions‑screening compliance initiative by cleansing and standardising client data across Self Cashers, CIT, and Recycler segments, ensuring accurate entity details and bank‑account mapping for regulatory screening.
Job description
Data Cleansing & Standardisation
- Correct and standardise legal entity names and entity types (Private Company, CC, Sole Proprietor, Trust, NPC).
Validation & Enrichment
- Validate/rectify registration numbers using CIPC/source documents; capture missing fields in master dataset.
De‑duplication & Record Integrity
- Identify and merge duplicates; maintain an audit trail of changes.
Bank‑Account Mapping Support
- Assist mapping clients to the correct Postillion bank accounts, ensuring traceability of updates.
Exceptions Management
- Maintain an Exceptions Register and escalate unresolved cases timeously.
Stakeholder Liaison & Reporting
- Engage with Compliance/Data teams for clarifications; provide progress updates and daily/weekly dashboards as requested.
Minimum requirements
- Previous experience in data capturing / administration (essential)
- Microsoft Excel (intermediate): data entry, sorting, filters, de‑duplication
- Data quality & cleansing techniques (entity standardisation, de‑duplication)
- Exposure to KYC environment and frameworks
- Familiarity with South African entity types & registration formats (advantageous)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Integrity and discretion handling sensitive client data
- Initiative, self‑motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
- Time management and delivery focus under deadlines
- Collaboration/communication with Compliance and Data Management teams
