Introduction
This role supports the rollout, configuration and day-to-day technical operation of a Cloud-based Point-of-Sale (POS) solution for hospitality businesses, including sit down restaurants, Take Away and Bars. Working closely with the Business Manager - Cloud Product, the successful candidate will assist with system implementation, hardware setup, training, and customer support, helping ensure stable deployments and a positive customer experience.
Job description

Cloud POS Implementation

·         Assist with onboarding new customers onto the Cloud POS platform

·         Support configuration of:

o   Web-based back-office modules (stock, recipes, sales products)

o   Android, iOS and Windows-based POS terminals (ordering, payments, transfers, voids)

o   Help prepare and validate systems before go-live

 

Hardware & Infrastructure Support

·         Assist with setup and basic troubleshooting of:

o   Android tablets, iOS tablets, Android and Windows based all-in-one POS devices include

o   POS peripherals (printers, cash drawers, network switches, scanners etc.)

 

Integrations Support

·         Assist with setup and validation of:

o   Card payment providers

o   Online ordering platforms

o   Perform basic testing and escalate integration issues clearly and accurately

 

Training & Customer Support

·         Assist with customer training for:

o   Front-of-house POS usage

o   Manager back-office operations

o   Provide telephonic and remote support for day-to-day operational issues

o   Participate in onsite support and implementations

 

Product & Team Growth Support

·         Capture customer feedback and recurring issues

·         Assist with user acceptance testing and validation of new features

·         Contribute to training material and basic documentation

·         Grow toward supporting and eventually leading implementation and support functions as the business scales

Minimum requirements

·         Matric

·         Diploma or degree in IT: Information Systems, or a related field

·         Previous experience in hospitality systems / technical support / POS / Hardware setup and troubleshooting

·         Strong knowledge of Android, iOS, and Windows operating systems

·         Conceptual understanding of reports and operational data

·         Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset

·         Will be required to travel for onsite implementations and support - own car essential

·         Flexibility to assist after hours during go-lives or critical issues
