The position will focus on understanding business needs and translating them into technical requirements. Using data to drive insights and support decision-making, enhance efficiency by improving workflows and systems and maintenance and configuration ERP & WMS systems.
Job description
Business Analyst
- Understand business needs and translating them into technical requirements
- Collect, analyze, and document business needs (user stories, use cases, functional and non-functional requirements)
- Create workflows, process maps and business models
- Facilitate discussions, managing expectations and aligning requirements with stakeholders
- Familiarity with methodologies like lean or six sigma for identifying inefficiencies and optimizing workflows
- Managing the impact of business process changes on systems and people
Data Analysis
- Focus on using data to drive insights and support decision-making
- Expertise in analyzing large data sets to identify trends, correlations and actionable insights
- Creating dashboards and reports
- Ability to extracting, analyzing and storing data on SQL
Process Optimization
- enhance efficiency by improving workflows and systems
- Understanding of methodologies and tools for process improvement, waste reduction, and quality enhancement
- Ability to design and optimize business processes using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)
- Identifying process inefficiencies through methods like 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams
System Administration (ERP & WMS)
- Maintenance and configuration ERP & WMS systems. They ensure that the software supports business goals effectively
- Ability to configure ERP & WMS modules to align with business processes, including setting up workflows, user roles, permissions, and custom fields
- Understanding of underlying databases (SQL Server) used by ERP systems for data storage and retrieval
- Experience with integrating ERP systems with other applications using APIs, middleware, or integration platforms
- Use of monitoring tools to track system performance and implement optimizations for improved efficiency
- Provide technical support to end-users, create user manuals, and conduct training sessions to enhance user proficiency
- Ability to automate business processes within the ERP & WMS system using built-in tools or scripting languages
- Expertise in generating reports using ERP reporting tools and integrating with BI platforms like Power BI or Bold Reports for advanced analytics
- Managing, installing, configuring, and managing third-party modules or plugins that extend ERP functionalities
- Ability to lead ERP implementation or enhancement projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, customizations, and standard operating procedures
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions
- Conduct regular audits to ensure system compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Completed BEng (Industrial) Qualification
- 2-5 Years relevant experience in a similar role
- Proficient in MS Office and VISIO
- Lean or Six Sigma
- Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques
- Proficiency with visualization tools like Power BI, Bold Reports
- Proficient in using SQL Server
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, privacy and compliance
- BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)
- Familiarity with tools like Kaizen, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), or Agile for iterative improvements
- Proficient in 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams
- Knowledge of specific ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle ERP Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or NetSuite
- Knowledge of specific WMS platforms such Insight Works, Tasklet Factory, RF-Smart or Granite WMS
- Familiarity with key ERP modules like Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Finance, and Project Management
- Knowledge of role-based access control (RBAC), encryption methods, and compliance standards to secure sensitive business data within the ERP system
