Introduction
The purpose of the position is to provide administrative and reconciliation support across the Cash-in-Transit (CIT) function by liaising with CIT branches and internal departments, verifying CIT paperwork against the float, reviewing CRVs, capturing cash loads and returns, and reconciling all CIT transactions timeously and accurately. The role ensures that correct values are recorded on the system, that ATM cash loaded can be fully accounted for, and that discrepancies, incorrect loadings, and outstanding queries are identified and escalated in line with company policies, procedures, and risk requirements.

Dealing with 3rd Party: Cash In Transit (CIT)
- Communicate with CIT branches and internal departments regarding operational issues and queries
- Escalate unresolved branch issues to the relevant stakeholders
- Respond to emails and queries within the required turnaround times
Cash Monitor (CIF& LCR) Loads and Cash Returns Capture
- Ensure all CIT cash reconciliations are completed accurately, timeously, and properly authorised
- Identify and escalate incorrect ATM loadings, float allocations, and missing or incomplete paperwork
- Monitor bulk cash differences and cash collections, and escalate discrepancies where required
- Maintain accurate and reliable data across all relevant systems
- Assist with the daily bank GL capture
- Liaise with CIT branches and internal departments to resolve queries and discrepancies
- Provide timely feedback and ensure all daily processing requirements are met
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, internal controls, and risk requirements
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Completed qualification/studying towards a qualification
- Min 2 years’ experience in an accounting role
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Email)
- Ability to build relationships with 3rd parties
- Excellent communication skills
